My stay was wonderful! We stayed in the suite (room 9) and it had everything we expected, as well as being very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is very complete and delicious, and the hotel staff are unbeatable. The location is also GREAT.

We firstly had room 7 - which was in the attic overlooking the car park. Being an attic room, it had sloped ceilings and beams to avoid including beside the bed and in the shower. Not ideal for a 6ft’3 guest. We asked for another room on arrival and Christina the front of house was more than happy to assist for which we were grateful. Christina was particularly helpful and friendly everyday we were there. We were moved to room 4 which had a flat ceiling and was larger. Both had a super king bed. We both enjoyed the breakfast, full english was available and extras could be requested if required. We also enjoyed the bar cosying up to the log fire in the evenings. This hotel is as expected, an old building with old features. Some rooms are better suited than others. Stairs are narrow. But location wise you cannot fault it. Plenty of bars and cafes in the village, The hotel had its own car park, which we always managed to get a space. And as a guest, we only paid £7.50 for 4 days.

I have to leave a review for what was for me, one of the tastiest, vegetarian meals I’ve eaten in a pub. It was with a little in-trepidation that I booked a table as lots of pub grub, and especially vegetarian food, is a disappointment. Not the case here! Cooked with as much care and attention as they would with any other meal. On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly landlord and taken to our seats. Drinks were served fairly quickly, given that it was Friday night and very busy. Lovely pint of Guinness! My wife ordered the sea bream and I ordered the root vegetable pie, it was delicious, well seasoned and well cooked. The mash potato was TDF, creamy and lump free, (was it piped onto the plate?). The greens were cooked to perfection and again, well seasoned. The gravy was something else, (what is your secret?) in fact so much I’m spending my morning googling vegetarian gravy recipes. The desert menu was really good too. Thanks for making so much effort, despite being so busy, you have a great team working at your pub, and topped off a lovely few days for us in the Cotswolds.

It's lovely and the location is excellent but we were disappointed as we weren't told when we booked that the bar and restaurant were being used for a private event and were out of bounds on our first night. The reason we booked here was to take advantage of the on-site facilities. We stayed two nights in room 8 which is beautiful but, take note, it's in the attic and you have to negotiate narrow corridors and two flights of stairs. The breakfast was perfect, the service was excellent and the model village is charming.

Can’t speak to the rooms but we had a lovely Sunday Lunch here! Traveling with a toddler can be stressful, and researching restaurants that are welcoming of little kids is a bit of a gamble. But we walked in and saw several tables with families of kids of all ages gathering, board games, and crayons at tables. My daughter loved her Mac n cheese and my husband and I had our favorite meal of the Cotswolds trip! I got the catch of the day which was cooked perfectly, and as a pescatarian, I really appreciated the vegetarian gravy so I could have a Yorkshire pudding. The mackerel pate was excellent and my husband loved his sirloin. Food was served quickly so we could head back out for naptime. Highly recommend!

Booked our table in advance. Bourton on the water is a busy place at the best of times, so book. Food was amazing & good price. Staff, friendly & attentive. Building was amazing dating from 1712.

We are tourists visiting Bourton-on-the-Water. We tried two public houses that we were not impressed with, then came across this wonderful haven. Situated within a hundred yards of the main village. The decor, the atmosphere, the choice of available beers etc is brilliant. We were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and let’s just say that Adam, really looked after my wife and myself. I wholeheartedly recommend this awesome Pub. Thank you Adam for looking after us and it was very much appreciated. Steve & Deb

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Rooms are a little small however had everything we needed and beds were so comfortable. In such a lovely place you won't spend much time in your room. The staff here are excellent, pleasant helpful and friendly. The food in the bar/restaurant is superb, as was breakfast. I particularly loved the fact that all ingredients are locally sourced and that the menu tells you exactly where it's from. Loved our stay!
